iC Central was the first building under construction on the Innovation Campus and is an architectural landmark for both the iC and the region. It serves as a hub for the entire campus offering meeting and conference spaces, retail outlets and a health club to staff, students and guests. iC Central is home to six foundation tenants who provide critical services to the region and each other in the areas of human resources, market research, software development, hydrographic services, consulting engineering and financial services.
iC Central's unique design was the result of a design competition and completed by locally owned architects Graham Bell & Bowman. It was officially opened in June 2008 by then Premier of NSW, The Hon Morris Iemma.
iC Central presents three separate, light-filled buildings linked by suspended walkways and enclosed by a glass atrium. Built on sustainable design principles, it is surrounded by landscaped grounds and overlooks the iC's beautiful pond network.
