ABOUT IC The Innovation Campus (iC) is being developed by the world-class University of Wollongong. The iC is a 33 hectare research and commercial precinct located in North Wollongong. It was established by the University of Wollongong to drive partnerships and collaboration between the research and business communities by co-locating commercial and research organisation in state-of-the-art facilities. The University of Wollongong’s Innovation Campus (iC) has been named the Best New Business and Industrial Park Development in Australia. The Innovation Campus took out the prestigious award at the Property Council of Australia Innovation and Excellence Awards in May 2011. Relocating to the iC is for organisations that have a desire to establish or expand their presence in the Asia Pacific/Oceania region through an Australian base and can realise value from partnerships with the University’s academic, business and strategic networks.
iC was established with seed funding from the New South Wales State Government and has ongoing support at the Commonwealth, State and Local government levels. iC is a long term project that will span 10-15 years and upon completion some 5,000 people will be part of iC's working community of business and research enterprises.
